Isolated severe storms possible Tuesday in Dyersburg, city says

Damaging winds are the primary concern, but localized heavy rain and an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out, with gusty winds also expected.

DYERSBURG, Tenn. — Isolated severe storms are possible late Tuesday afternoon into the evening, the city of Dyersburg said. Damaging winds are the primary concern with any storms that develop.

Localized heavy rain and an isolated tornado also cannot be ruled out, the city said. A wind advisory is in effect for areas just to the west. Residents should expect some gusty winds in the area as well.

“Stay weather-aware, have multiple ways to receive warnings, and know where to take shelter if storms develop,” the city said.
