She attended school in Ripley, Tennessee until she moved to Illinois where she met a young man from Arkansas and then married the love of her life Cloyce Holder. They were married 67 years at the time of his death. They made their home in Curve, Tennessee where they owned and operated a wholesale candy business for 42 years.

She is survived by her 2 children: Marshall “Mark” {Sharrye} Holder & Bernice {Guinn} Hodges; 4 Grandchildren: Gil {Heather} Hodges, Hannah {Colton} Harber, Chase {Ashley} Hodges, and her youngest grandson and trusty side-kick Beau Hodges; and her Great Grand-daughter Dasilynn Hodges. She leaves behind her dearest friend Carolyn Paul, several Sisters-in-Law, a Brother-in-Law as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ann was born July 1, 1941, in Clifton, TN to the late Will and Tennie Carroll. She enjoyed her work and the friendships made at Sylvania Manufacturing in Dyersburg. She was a member of the River of Life Church in Ridgely. Those who knew her remember her as a wonderful baker of pies and cakes. She also enjoyed decorating homes and time spent tending her flower gardens. She had a very active spirit and time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren meant much to her.

Mr. Donald Wayne Roberson, of Dyersburg, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Don was born December 7, 1938 in the Chic community of Dyer County. He and his family moved to Chicago in the early 1950's and after high school, he went to work for the A&P Bakery Co. for many years and served proudly in the United States Army. During this time, he met his wife, Joyce and later they moved back to settle in Dyersburg. They purchased the Double R Restaurant in Southtown and Joyce managed it as Don did not like to work with food. He started driving a local milk delivery route for Mr. Joe Ledford. Later, when his wife passed away, he sold the Double R Restaurant and went to work for Dr Pepper-Pepsi of Dyersburg as a delivery driver, until his retirement. In his free time, he loved to hunt and fish and go to as many local car races as he could. He also enjoyed the races at Southland Park in West Memphis, AR, where he was pretty lucky, sometimes. Family gatherings including fireworks, cookouts, birthdays and holidays together meant a lot to Don. His nieces and nephews say that they will miss him for their big fireworks show this year. Everyone that knew Don had only good words and memories of time with him.

Don is survived by his sister Glenda Clinton and many nieces, nephews and their families. He is preceded in death by wife Joyce Roberson and son Phillip Dwain Roberson, his parents; Claude and Mary Evie Jones Roberson, his sister Maxine Parrish and his five brothers; Buck, Luke, Bill, Delbert and Jerry Paul Roberson.

He graduated from Everett High School in 1956. It was during his time at Everett High School that he met and fell in love with his wife Loretta. Shortly after graduating, he and Loretta married and started a family.

She was greatly loved by the persons closest to her in life and doted on her Pomeranian, Izzy. She enjoyed crafting of all sorts and was known for her creative wreaths.

Dee is survived by her nieces; Carol Campbell and husband, Jeff of Spring Hill, TN and Sheila Edwards and husband, Kelly of Kansas, her nephew Luke Parnell, of Bartlett, TN, her great-nephews; Nicholas Campbell and wife, Colleen, of Kansas City, KS, Richard Blake, wife Brooke and family and Joe Corbally and family, as well as her sister-in-law Krysha Harmon and husband, Mark of Jonesboro, AR and a sister-by-choice of many years; Alyce Stone, of Halls, TN. She was greatly loved by the nieces and nephew, whom she helped to raise; Jayline Greene, Gabriella Greene, Madeline Ingram and Connor Ingram.
