DYERSBURG, Tenn. — The unemployment rate in Dyersburg stood at 3.0% in September 2026, the city said. The local figure came as jobless rates dropped across the state.

"Every county in Tennessee reported a decline in their unemployment rates from the previous month," the city said. Those figures come from September data from the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Across Tennessee, only two counties recorded unemployment rates of 5% or greater, the city said. The highest county rate in the state reached 5.1%.

Eight counties recorded the state's lowest unemployment rates for September at 2.7%, the city said. Those counties were Williamson, Cheatham, Sevier, Trousdale, Macon, Wilson, Rutherford and Dickson.
