Born on August 27, 1961 in Dyersburg, TN to Larry Bennett and the late Mary Frances Williams Bennett. Carlton was a self employed carpenter and sheet rock finisher. He was known as one of the best sheet rock finishers in this area and even put sheet rock up in the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville. Carlton was an avid outdoorsman and deer hunter.

He was a veteran (Air Force) of the Korean War and was proud to serve his country. After his military service he moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where he was married and raised his family. He owned his own business, Bruces Carpet Center. He was a trusting person believing that your word and a hand shake sealed the business deal. When he retired, he moved back to Dyersburg to his beloved hills and hollers.

Marshall Boyd "Bo" Goad, age 91, of Dyersburg, TN passed away Monday, May 16, 2022 at West TN Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital.

He was born on December 9, 1930 in Midway, TN to the late Rice Pierce Goad and Maude Willard Goad. Marshall was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and a 50 year member of the Hess Masonic Lodge #93. He also served at the president of Pleasant Hill Cemetery Association where he was very instrumental in the restoration and upkeep of the cemetery. Marshall also helped get the Walk of Fame memorial built in downtown Dyersburg featuring a civil war cannon. He was an avid golfer and Cardinal baseball fan. He proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Army. Even after his retirement from the military he continued to serve, helping many veterans navigate through the VA to get the benefits they deserve. He was truly a family man who loved giving back to the community any way he could.

Dr. Rosaire M. Dubrule, 74, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Reelfoot Manor in Tiptonville. Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts on April 20, 1948, he is the son of the late Rosaire E. and Rita Latulippe Dubrule. Dr. Dubrule graduated from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and had a long and distinguished career in medicine. During his career he helped to develop new surgical techniques and participated in early research that helped lead to new therapies and treatments in the area of Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine. He was much beloved by those in his care and people who knew him as a Doctor remember his genuine compassion for his patients. He was known for treating patients regardless of their ability to pay for his services and would always take his patients outcome as a personal responsibility of the upmost importance.

Dr. Dubrule is survived by his three daughters, Karen Paschall (Landon) of Ridgely, Kayla Harris (Bradley) of Dyersburg, Katherine Griffin (Adam) of Savannah, Ga; his son, Major Michael Dubrule USMC/Retired (Deborah) of Sugar Grove, NC; six grandchildren and his brother, John Dubrule of St. Petersburg, FL.

Mr. Wilson Edward Newman, age 88, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, May 3,2022 at Harbor View Health and Rehab in Dyersburg, TN. Mr. Wilson was born August 12,1933 in Curve, TN. He is the son of the late James Harvey and Alberta Yancey Newman. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a retired employee of Magnetec in Ripley. He is survived by his wife: Betty (Jester) Newman two sons: Dennis Newman of Gates, TN, and Johnathan Newman of Troy, OH. He leaves three sisters, Lil Hunt of Gates, TN, Bessie Mae Barlow of Curve, TN and Bertie Sue Morrow of Mobile, AL, and one brother Thomas Newman of Halls, TN. The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, May 7 at Curve Baptist Church, 87 Woodville Rd, Ripley, TN with Bro. Lynn King officiating. Burial will be in Woodville Cemetery. Mr. Roy Brown Chandler, of Dyersburg, passed away May 3, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital. He was born December 20, 1934 to the late Johnny & Pauline Chandler. He was a graduate of Dyersburg High School. Roy spent much of his life working in Dyersburg, as a young man at the Dyersburg Cotton Mill, where his parents also worked for much of their lives. He proudly served in the United States Army and returned home to start a new career with the Independent Life Insurance Company. He eventually moved on to work for the Colonial Baking Co. where he received several awards, including Salesman of the Year. He later worked as an entrepreneur, managing convenience stores in Dyersburg and Jackson. He enjoyed being outdoors, playing golf, birdwatching and was an avid Bass fisherman. He also loved music and playing guitar. He was a long-time member of the Phillips Street Church of Christ in Dyersburg.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Coburn Chandler, of Dyersburg, his daughter, Rhonda Jamison, of Newbern, TN, his son, Christopher Roy Chandler, of Jackson, TN. He was loved as "PoPaw" by his grandchildren, John Chandler, Casey Chandler, Joshua Wilson, Charity Wilson, Bracken Wilson and Coley Jamison as well as eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Paul Chandler and his sisters, Joyce Chandler Dawson and Jewel Dean Griggs.

After retiring from the bank he began to sell life insurance for New York Life and Eison Insurance. Larry was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing and making handmade duck calls. He was a board member of The Call-makers & Collectors Association of America - Reelfoot Chapter. Most days you could find Larry at his favorite dinning spot, Mel's Diner, getting breakfast or lunch. He enjoyed travelling and anything TN Vols sports. Larry was a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ.

He loved training his dog, Sadie, and watching Alabama football with his parents. Above all else, he was most proud of his daughter and loved spending time with her. David is survived by his daughter, Sophia Ilene Stallings, 18, of Halls, TN; his parents, Bubba and June Ann Stallings of Halls, TN; his sister, Kathlene (Peter) Poulelis of Hernando, MS; his grandmother, Jerre "Muzzie" (Wymon) Stallings of Halls, TN; and his step grandmother, Mary (Coach C.M.) Kelly of Ripley, TN.
