He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Ridgely, TN. Woody was a boating enthusiast and an avid snow mobile fan whenever he visited his relatives in Illinois in the winter.

Woody moved to Dyersburg from his Illinois home as a part of the World Color plant when it came to our area. After World Color closed, Woody started working at the Ag Center, later Tennessee Tractor where he remained until his retirement last year.

Peggy Bostick Bradshaw (Mrs. Jere), 88, died on May 29, 2017 in Knoxville, TN. "Peggy and Jere" were Dyersburg High School Sweethearts and married 52 years, before his death in 2000. Peggy is a member of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. When health allowed, she was active in the Keenagers, Bontheo Circle, Dyer County Fair, The University of Tennessee Alumni Association, Chi Omega Sorority, various garden clubs, bridge clubs and T.P.A. Peggy was President of the Dyersburg Jaycettes and in charge of the Dyersburg Christmas Parade in 1955, which was the first year the parade had "floats". "Peggy and Jere" spent their entire life in service to others and truly made their part of the world a better place.

Peggy is survived by her daughter, Dianne B. Fielder (Larry) and son, Jere Bradshaw, Jr. (Eleanor), grandchildren Amy Fielder Pritchard (Jesse), Jere Scott Bradshaw (Dorothy), Lauren Bradshaw Spradling(Jared), Carson Kemp (Jennifer), and Natalie Kemp Meadows (Jamie) and great grandchildren Will and Eva Meadows, Cooper and Brooks Pritchard, Hannah and Hudson Spradling, and William and Robert Bradshaw.

Beloved son and brother, Robert Arthur Barton passed away on 5/23/2017 in Dyersburg, TN. He was born in Tuscaloosa, AL 6/23/1976. He is survived by Dr. Stephen Barton (father), Dr. Melissa Barton (step-mother), Roxey Findorff (mother), Russell Barton (brother) and by uncles, aunts, and cousins, as well as friends scattered throughout the world.

Robert graduated from Winona State University in Minnesota, with a major in History. He had a love for horseracing, soccer, basketball, and golf. Robert traveled the world, making great friends and embracing the culture everywhere he went. He loved reading and writing. His short stories and travel logs were a joy to his family and many friends. Robert attended St. Giles International in San Francisco where he received the Cambridge CELTA certification for teaching English as a second language. He taught English in Thailand for 2 years, and then attended Weidner School of Law where he was president of the Federalist Society. After this, Robert pursued his love for writing by creating an online journal of short stories. He greatly enjoyed the summer MFA classes at the Sewanee School of Letters and took great interest in their summer concert series. Robert was a Christian and had complete confidence that he had been forgiven and would spend eternity with Jesus. In this past year he felt a special blessing from Dyersburg Christian Center. Robert's favorite charities were the Minnesota AIDS project, the Thoroughbred Retirement Foundation, and The Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis, MN.

He is the son of the late Jerry Howard and Monnie Lou (Tomlinson) Puckett. In 1990, he and his father opened Key Corner Exxon. Jeff also was an automotive parts salesman. He is survived by his mother, Monnie Lou Puckett of Halls. Jeff also leaves a sister, Allison Brammell of Nashville, TN and one brother, David (Lesa) Puckett of Halls, TN. He also is survived by his nephew, Harrison Brammell of Nashville, TN. He was preceded in death by his father: Jerry Puckett and a nephew; Josh Puckett, grandparents: John and Mary Etta Tomlinson, and Leslie and Sam Ethel Puckett. The memorial service will be held 1:00 pm on Monday, May 15 at Halls First United Methodist Church, Halls, TN with Rev. Barbara Blackmon-Fortune officiating.
