As a member of the band "Full Devil Jacket" they toured worldwide and received a gold record for the soundtrack for the movie SCREAM 3. He was signed to a record deal with the Island/Def Jam label in 1998 and released a self-titled album on Island records in 2000. He continued to pursue his love of music until his death. Mrs. Bernice Dennis Wilber, 84, of Dyersburg, TN died Sunday, July 10, 2011 at Jackson Regional Hospital in Jackson. She was a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, The FCE Club, The Cumberland Presbyterian Choir, and The Holy Hills Bible Study Group. She participated in the Community Bible Study Group, was one of the founding members of the Silver Sneakers Exercise Club in Dyersburg. At age 83 Mrs. Bernice completed a Bible Study Course at Dyersburg Bible Institute. She received 5 medals in the Walk Across Tennessee Program, served 10 years as Dyer County Circuit Court Clerk, and for 24 years owned and operated Sunshine Day Care Center. Services will be Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at 10 a.m. at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Larry Blakeburn officiating. Interment will follow in Dyer County Memorial Gardens. Survivors include one daughter, Tona Ruth Dennis Roberts and husband, Ricky Roberts Sr. of Dyersburg; two sisters, Carolyn Joyce Anderson Austin and husband, Gene of Dyersburg and Juliette (Judy) Anderson Gross and husband, Roy of Leesburg, Va.; one brother, John Ezel Anderson and wife, Beatrice of Milan, Tn.; five grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Taylor Dennis Sr. and Ralph Wilber; one son, Charles "Butch" Dennis Jr., one sister, Georgia Laverne Smith and one brother Neely Thomas Anderson. Thelma Brown Taylor passed away on June 22nd, 2011 at home with her son at her side after a successful 2 year, but ultimately devastating battle with cancer. She was born on August 28th, 1924 in Ridgely, Tennessee, grew up there and moved to Dyersburg, Tennessee shortly before the end of World War Two. An avid golfer, she played in almost every woman's tournament in Dyersburg. After raising her family, she moved to Brownsville, Texas in 1970 with her husband, Robert Irvine Taylor, Jr. She was active in the social life of Brownsville, was a member of the "Order of the Serape" and a Board member of the Camille Playhouse. She excelled at Golf and Tennis. In 1997 she moved to Lakeway World of Tennis Resort on Lake Travis outside of Austin, Texas. She moved to The Woodlands, Texas in August of 2005 just in time to experience Hurricane Rita, and in 2008 experienced Hurricane Ike. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Irvine Taylor, Jr, her sisters Martha Brown Craig and Flora Brown Daniel, and her parents Viola and Joseph Brown. She is survived by her son Robert Irvine Taylor, III, three grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and multiple nieces and nephews. She had a joy for life. She will be missed. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, June 27th at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
