He also leaves five children, Jill Stewart, Jan McCrary, Lee Ann Maxwell, Vicky Hinton, and Rick Jones; three step-daughters, Debbie Proberts, Donna Singh, and Sandy Okubo; and sixteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg on Friday, November 26, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., and the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely, TN. She was a member of Tiptonville Church of Christ and served as office manager for Lake County Health Department for 36 years. Services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Tiptonville Church of Christ with Bro. Don Reel officiating. Interment will follow in City Cemetery in Tiptonville. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors at Tiptonville Church of Christ on Monday evening from 5 until 8 p.m. Survivors include companion in life, John Lewis Berry Sr.; one son, John Lewis Berry Jr. and wife Pam. of Paducah, Ky; one sister, Imogene Hood of New Jersey; one brother, Billy McElyea of Memphis; and three grandchildren, James Berry, Madison Berry, and Emily Belt of Paducah, Ky. She was preceded in death by her parents Louis and Willie Mae McElyea; four sisters and two brothers.
