He was a farmer, a member of Junction Church of God for more than 60 years, and an Army veteran of World War II. Services will be at 3 p.m. today at Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Chessor and the Rev. Tim Boren officiating. Burial will be in Dyer County Memorial Gardens in Dyersburg. Survivors include his wife, Altha White of Richwoods; two daughters, Brenda Smith and Kathy Patterson and husband, Kenneth, all of Richwoods; a son, Michael White of Richwoods; a sister, Martha Jean Smith of Kansas; four grandchildren, Don Smith and wife, Wendy, Kevin Patterson and wife, Jenny, Brent Smith and wife, Allison, and Elizabeth White; and three great-grandchildren, Lauren Smith, Ethan Smith and Parker Patterson. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Lona Bush White; two sisters, Polly Lineberry and Rebecca Lineberry; three brothers, James White, Thomas White and Vernon Lynn White; and a grandson, Keith Patterson. Pallbearers will be Neal Lewis, Jimmy Hester, Dent Yarbro, Randall Hughes, Jason Lineberry and Tim Vestal. Honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Williams, Vernon Hester and Barry Moody. Lee, both of Finley and Danny R. Lee of Dyersburg; 12 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter C. and Earie E. Smith Box; seven sisters, Doris Burgett, Elsie Kelley, Ozell Landers, Eunice Forsythe, Ruby Lee, Odessa Anderson and Mattie Sue Permenter; and three brothers, Ollie Smith, Walter C. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezra Oliver and Edna Harvey Vance.
