Mary Lord Cloar of Dyersburg passed away Thursday February 1 at the age of 81 after battling years of declining health. Mary was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 24, 1942. She was the daughter of Hartley and Emalene Lord. She grew up in Wellesley Hills Massachusetts where she graduated from Dana Hall. After high school she went on to graduate from Centenary University in Hackettstown New Jersey.
She married William C Cloar of Dyersburg on August 4, 1962, In Wellesley, Massachusetts with a reception that followed at the Wellesley Country Club. After the wedding she moved to Dyersburg, Tennessee where her husband was Employed at Dyersburg Fabrics.

She was truly devoted to her family, enjoying cooking for or having a cup of coffee with them and spending time with her grandchildren. She was lovingly known by her family as "Myrtle".

Upon graduation, he served in the United States Army in Viet Nam and later served in the United States Air Force in both active and reserve roles. For 30 years, he worked for Dyersburg Fabrics, then for Lincare and as a transport driver for Sayle Oil Company. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as group motorcycle rides around the region with friends.
He is survived by his wife, Rebecca Greer Holcomb, his son, Ronald Holcomb, Jr., his brother Tab Holcomb, and his step-sisters Hilda Peevyhouse & Marilyn Todd. He loved his time as PawPaw to his grandson, James Case Holcomb. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, David Holcomb and step-sister, Verna Gay.

She is the daughter of the late Nemon French Privett and the late Stella (Morphis) Privett. She worked as a Cafeteria Worker and in childcare. Faye is survived by one daughter: Lisa Abel of Newbern, TN and one son: Allen (Lorie) Cook of Dyersburg, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband A.W. Cook Jr., a son, Jamie Brown, and sister, Nina Davison. Faye also leaves behind four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Estel was a member of Lenox Baptist Church and worked at Olberg Manufacturing. He was a farmer and retired in 2010. He loved horses and watching westerns. Estel loved working with his hands and was the ultimate handy man. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
