He is the son of the late Henry Franklin and the late Eva May (Marchbanks) Moore. He was a retired employee of West TN State Penitentiary. He is survived by his wife: Jannie Sue (Acuff) Moore, two daughters: Angie Brent of Weidman, MI and Tricia Moore of Ripley, TN, and three sons: Eddy Moore of Fayetteville, GA, Kevin Geary of Huntsville, AL and Benjie Moore of Covington, TN. He leaves one sister Ann Bingham of IN and six grandchildren. Benny was preceded in death by two sisters, Delane Gilliland and Carolyn Bentley, one brother Franklin Moore. Jerry Wayne Buckner, age 77, of Ripley passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Brook Dale Oaks of Jackson, TN. Jerry was born May 13, 1944 in Dry Hill, TN. He is the son of the late Elic Buckner. He is survived by his wife: Donna (Honey) Buckner, one daughter: Cindy (David) Ream of Ripley, TN and two sons: Jeff (Ann) Buckner of Dyersburg, TN and Craig (Beth) Buckner of Murfreesboro, TN, he also leaves his mother Louise (Burns) Buckner; two sisters: Carolyn Horner of Halls, TN and Anita Cullum of Ripley, TN, and two brothers: Jim Buckner of Ripley, TN and Mike Buckner of Halls, TN. Jerry also leaves 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Jerry was married to Donna Honey Buckner for 41 years and has lived in Lauderdale County his entire life. Before graduating from Halls High School, he started his sales career at Halls Hardware. He served in the Tennessee Air Guard from 1966 to 1972. Jerry sold cars for several years at Carlton Chevrolet before opening his own used car business, Ripley Auto Sales. He spent many years building and racing sprint cars and stock cars. Later, Jerry was the store owner and operator at Mickey's Superette for 12 years. He was elected Lauderdale County Assessor of Property in 2004 where he served two terms and enjoyed meeting the citizens in our community. He never met a stranger, and he loved sharing stories and making connections with others. After retirement, Jerry helped oversee operations at West Tennessee Expediting with his eldest son, Jeff Buckner. He enjoyed watching Nascar and supporting Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. He was proud to watch his grandchildren on the football field, basketball court, soccer field, baseball field, and baby crawling contest. Every morning, Jerry started his day with breakfast at Emilee's with his group of best buddies. We are thankful that he was able to see two of his grandchildren get married this past summer. He loved being at home in his recliner, sitting in the driveway watching the big trucks drive by, and mowing the yard. Most of all, he was happiest spending time with his wife, 3 children, 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. The Funeral will be held Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Halls First United Methodist Church at 3:00 pm with Bro. Zack Bennard and Bro. Bobby Jacobs officiating. Bobby Joe Wright, age 86, of Halls passed away Monday, February 7, 2022 at his home in Halls. Bobby was born August 8, 1935 in Koko, TN. He is the son of the late Charlie Boyd and the late Willie Margaret (Adams) Wright. He was self-employed as a scrap dealer. Bobby is survived by one daughter: Teresa (David) Reece of Frog Jump, TN and three sons: Bobby (Julie) Wright, Marty (Leanne) Wright, and Nick (Becky) Wright all of Halls, TN, brother of four sisters: Lisa Cherry, Marie Wright and Linda Cherry all of Halls, TN and Margie Williams of Dyersburg, TN. He was preceded in death by five sisters, Annie Pearl McAlister, Doris Paris, Betty Sue Mcalpin, Mary Louise Coker and Judy Dunaway and six brothers Boyd Wright, Vernon Wright, Bernon Wright, Louis Wright, David Wright, and James Bryed Wright. Bobby also leaves behind nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way. Visitation will be at Halls funeral home Thursday, February 10 from 1:00 pm till 1:50 pm. A graveside service will be held 2:30 pm on Thursday, February 10 at Holmes Cemetery, Ripley, TN with Bro. Donnie Reed officiating. Janice Marie Spoon, age 79, went to be with her Lord on February 7, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. She was born in Finley, TN on May 9, 1942. She was a graduate of Dyersburg High School and attended Union University. While in Dyersburg, she met her husband, Vandel Spoon. She worked for the State of Tennessee at the Department of Children's Services and retired from there after 30 years. After her retirement, she worked part-time at Hilltop House. She was an active member at Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was a member of her Sunday school class and the Young at Heart Senior Adult Group.

He was retired from Murray Guard. One of his greatest joys was being called “DD” by his nieces and nephew. Jimmy was a kind soul and was loved by many. He proudly served his country by serving in the United States Air Force.
