Mr. Charles "Charlie" Edward Lepping, Sr. formerly of Dyersburg, passed away on Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at his home in Dickson, TN. He was born Aug. 7, 1946 to the late John & Margie Lepping.
He proudly served in the United States Air Force and began his education and career path, becoming an electrical engineer. He spent many years working as a maintenance manager for many industries, including Colonial Rubber, Olberg Mfg, Holmes Intl, Sara Lee, Bob Evans, Williams Sausage and Odom's Tennessee Pride. He is well remembered for his work and impact as a teacher and mentor through the Newbern Vocational-Technical School. In his spare time, he had a passion for restoring and drag racing cars, trucks and motorcycles. He had a generous spirit and was known as a great man to all.

She was born to the late Raymond Otha & Effie Lou McCanless Thornton in Dyer County, Bonicord TN. Louise moved to Lake Charles , LA seven years ago to spend quality time with family. She was a member of First Christian Church in Dyersburg. She was an Licenesed Practical Nurse and worked at Parkview Hospital, private Doctor's offices and later sat with patients when needed. She loved to sew, work in her yard, canning from her garden and playing cards with the Wild Women and shop til ya drop.

Bobby worked through his life in several local industries in production. He loved to spend time fishing and camping with his son and was an avid Star Wars fan and collector of comics.
He is survived by his son, Colton Hunter McNeely, his mother, Juanice Hall Prince and his sister, Janice Ramey Graf, all of Dyersburg and his brother, Kerry Ramey, of Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his father, Ewell Prince.

Her reputation of taking such good care of children and loving them as her own, insured she always had a wait list of people wanting her to keep their little ones. She loved growing flowers and working outdoors and always had a beautiful yard. She was a huge country music fan and you could be sure she would have the music turned up in the kitchen as she would be making her famous homemade biscuits every morning. She and Ray loved to fish and after catching a mess they would clean them and fry them up right on the creekbank. Her potatoes and onions were the best. Mrs. Doris Wilson Williams, of Dyersburg, passed away Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 at the AHC Nursing & Rehab center. She was born January 25, 1931 to Birdie Mae & Welton Allen Redding. She worked in the public for many years, mainly as a bookkeeper for various car dealers in Dyersburg. She was a member of the Women of the Moose Lodge group, an avid bowler and was a sales consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. She is remembered for living a full life.
She is survived by her son, Dennis Wilson, of Dyersburg and her daughter, Amy Ray of Hohenwald, TN, her grandchildren, Jamie Ray & wife Miranda, and Keith Ray, all of Hohenwald, Reign Britton of Lexington, Tn, her great-grandchildren, Tyler & Ethan Ray and her son-in-law, Bill Ray. Gray was a graduate from Union University, where he founded the pre-professional medical organization and played baseball. He was a Union University Ambassador, involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was passionate about dental ministry. He was also a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. Gray was currently a 2nd year dental student at U.T. Center for Health Science. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg and was involved in multiple church and bible study activities.

He was a graduate of Halls High School (Class of 1956) and Union University (Class of 1963). William retired from GTE Sylvania. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was an avid reader. He was a member of the Bethesda Methodist Church of Halls, TN, and a Mason belonging to the lodge in Halls, TN, and Versailles, KY. He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn, mother and father, Sylvia and William E. Crihfield, and infant sister Rebecca. He is survived by his three children: Dean Crihfield (Jenny), Sarena Coble (Randy), and Lenore Hounshell (Alan), as well as his grandchildren Randi Cook (Chris), William Hounshell, Michael Hounshell, Tamara Hounshell, William "Joshua" Crihfield (Cassandra), and Jessica Socia; one great-grandchild (William Josiah Crihfield); and his sister, Janet Patton, as well numerous nieces, and nephews. His visitation will be held at the Halls Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021. The others can do whatever the hell they please”. Larry was the definition of a man - tough, fair and courageous. Born August 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Harry Thedford Vaughn and Virginia Louise Porch Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Baptist. Although Jerry was retired from different occupations over a very long, wonderful life, his most cherished positions were as husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his sweeties and buddies both little and big. He loved to go fishing and in later life, he loved to paint. He cherished every get-to-gather, drop by, phone call, or text. To know Jerry was to know someone who loved his family with every breath. She was a Registered Nurse and later an instructor for future LPN's. She graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's of Science of Nursing degree. She was a lifetime member of the Ladies VFW, a Lion's Club Member, and Food & Beverage Directory with the Holiday Inn University. She enjoyed bowling, hot-air ballooning, and traveling worldwide. Billie was married to her beloved husband, Steve Ellis. They had just celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary before his death in October of 2019.

John was very involved in the development of the Tigrett Wildlife Management Area and Nature Trail.
