Kenny Thomas Fowler, 42, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Born April 18, 1979, he is the son of Jerry and Jane Fowler of Dyersburg. Kenny graduated Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee at Martin where he majored in Computer Science and Mathematics. He was a Database Administrator in conjunction with Corporate Office at Kirklands, Inc. where he was employed for over a decade. In addition to working in information technology, Kenny was a savvy investor and was an author for several international publications about investing. Kenny was so young, but he was employed at Dyersburg State for five years before he worked at Kirklands. He worked full-time through his chemotherapy treatment, and bravely fought Blast Phase Chronic Myeloid Leukemia. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Holy Angels Catholic Church officiated by Father Patrick Hirtz with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Honoring Kenny by serving as pallbearers will be Current and former Colleagues: Matt Nelson, Clint Peery, Bryan Dennison, David Criswell, Jeremy Harrison and Will Carter. Representing the Family will be Joshua Cross and Russell Austin Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, Samuel and Ryder White and Levi and Phillip Cross. The family will receive visitors Friday, February 11th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 11 years, Priscilla Norman Fowler. He was preceded in death by his brother(s) Terry Dwayne Fowler, and Timothy Wade Fowler, his grandparents, Newt Fowler, Esther Fowler, Freddie "Doc" Elbert Cook and Dona Lee Cook. Sam Criswell, 86, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 30, 2022 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born August 28, 1935, he was the son of the late Charles T. and Edna Bane Criswell. Sam was a licensed funeral director at Curry Funeral Home for over 25 years before he and his wife Mary became the owners and operators of Criswells Paint and Supply in downtown Dyersburg. Sam attended Love & Truth Church in Jackson. He was an avid fisherman and one of the only ones who never lied about his catch. Sam dearly loved his family and treasured his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 1, 2022 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Billy Gene Brooks with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Landon Criswell, Lane Stewart, Luke Criswell, Corey Criswell, Logan Criswell, David Paul Criswell, Paul Pugh and Dan Crittenden. Robert Lee Henry "Rambo" a mentor to many, a friend to all. Who always put God first in his life. Rambo passed away at his home in Halls TN January 29, 2022, surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born May 24,1952 in Oakland CA. to Roscoe Earl and Rachel Alice (Rooks) Henry. He was a United States Marine Veteran. He was a retired correctional officer at Fort Pillow State Prison in Henning TN. What really brought joy to his heart and life was his four grandchildren. In his spare time he was a true gamer playing on his play station hours at a time. Robert loved fishing; he would fish until it got pitch dark outside until finally the mosquitoes would run him off. He was a master gardener and enjoyed working in his flower beds. He believed in people more than they believed in themselves. He was always ready to share God's word. Robert took extra enjoyment in taking care of his pets he had through his life. His memory will be kept alive by his adoring eternal wife of 32 years Wendi Gail (Bickers) Henry, devoted daughters Tiffinne Runions of Dyersburg and Chasity (Leon) Roundtree of Halls. Robert's pride and joy was his grandchildren: Landan Lee Roundtree, Payton Benjamin Roundtree, Kylee Hykue Roundtree, Robert "Bobby" Alexander Scott of Halls, Brother William "Bill" Henry, sister-in-law Barbara Henry of Oklahoma and his lab Rambo and cat Midnight. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters Laileeanna Wendalee Scott and Hulaya Gail Roundtree and Sister Gladys Ann Henry, parents Roscoe and Rachel Henry and grand parents Allen and Bertha (London) Rooks. Mrs. Heather Leann Daniels, age 43, of Ripley passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Lauderdale Community Hospital of Ripley, TN. She was born March 5, 1978, in Dyersburg, TN. She is the daughter of Marilyn (Sanders) Garrett and the late Jimmy Garrett. She was employed by Komatsu as a customer service representative in the parts and tech department. Mrs. Heather is survived by her husband: Kevin Lee Daniels and three daughters: Brooke Daniels of Ripley, TN, Rachel Daniels of Ripley, TN and Emily Daniels of Memphis, TN; her mother Marilyn (Sanders) Garrett; two brothers: Greg (Melissa) Garrett of Chelsea, AL, and Brandon (Courtney) Garrett of Franklin, TN; and her grandmother, Erma Sanders. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews who she dearly loved. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Albert Sanders. The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 20 at Maranatha Baptist Church, 3057 Forked Deer Rd., Gates, TN with Bro. Tim Smartt officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, Ripley, Tn following the service. Mr. William "Bill" Harrold Carver, age 80, of Ripley passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022, at Jackson General Hospital of Jackson, TN. Mr. Bill was born August 19, 1941, in Halls, TN. He is the son of the late John Sherman and the late Eva (McCleldon) Carver. He was inducted into the US Army November 17,1959 and was honorably discharged October of 1965. He was employed as a construction worker. Mr. Bill is survived by: Barbara Christine Carver, two daughters: Beverly Dunavant of Henning, TN, Sandra Carver of Ripley, TN, one step-daughter, Peggy Gains of Ripley, TN, and one son: Bobby (Tammy) Carver of Ripley, TN. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren. Mr. Bill was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters. Paul T. Moss, Sr., 87, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, January 16, 2022 at his residence. He was the son of the late Oscar William and Angie Hicks Moss. Mr. Moss was retired from Dyersburg Fabrics. He was a member of Dyersburg Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mr. Moss proudly served his country in the United States Army stationed in Baumholder, Germany. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Family members will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 19th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Jo Moss; two daughters, Karen Moss Knight (Scott) and Tracy D. Moss, both of Dyersburg; one son, Paul T. Moss, Jr. of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Julie Lauren Hatch Pounders, Brooke Nicole Hatch Toarmina, Haley Ashton Moss, Hillary Elizabeth Jackson; and four great-grandchildren, Zoe Jade Pounders, Lucas Tye Pounders, Seth Christian Pounders and Alauna Katherine Pounders.
