Mr. James W. Sanders, age 77, of Ripley passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020 at his home in Ripley. Mr. James was born June 16, 1942 in Ripley, TN. He is the son of the late William Roosevelt and the late Ravenell (Baggett) Sanders. Mr. James was a retired Operations Sergeant serving 28 years in the United States Army and an additional 10 years in the Tennessee National Guard. He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Walton) Sanders. He is also survived by two sons: Tim (Becky) Sanders , Jeffrey Sanders, a step-daughter Angela (James) Beard, step-son Todd (Dana) Parmenter, all of Ripley, TN. Mr. James is also survived by a sister Donna Ellis of Ripley, TN and a brother, Tony Sanders of MT. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Mr. James was preceded in death by a sister, Janie Little and brother Thomas Sanders. As a precaution against the current pandemic, the family is conducting a private graveside service. However, a public memorial service will be announced at a later date.
