Mr. Dale Walker, 61, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 20, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Phillips Street Church of God, 1014 Phillips Street, Dyersburg, TN. Dale was a master craftsman who delighted in working with wood and repairing any item or implement that was broken. He was a driver for Roadway Truck Lines of Jackson, TN; a promoter of Dyersburg Championship Wrestling; and, former owner of The Hickory House. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the Phillips Street Church of God conducted by Pastor Robert Davis. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Walker family will receive visitors Wednesday evening from 5:00 - 8:00 pm at Phillips Street Church of God. Survivors include his wife of 44 years Sandra Walker; his daughter, Angela McCord and her husband Tim of Dyersburg; two sons: Allen Walker and wife Daphney of Dyersburg and Addison Walker and wife April of Dyersburg; one sister: Carol Westmoreland of Dyersburg; one brother: Bobby Walker and wife Carolyn of Savannah, TN; eight grandchildren: Brittney Walker, Jessica Walker, Chasity Walker, Abigail Walker, Allison Walker, Kirsti Green, Jayci Green, Rielee Green; and, one great-grandchild: Cadynce Price. John Haakon Hoff, 81, of Dyersburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 19, 2015 at The Highlands of Dyersburg. Born May 26, 1934 to Einar Benjamin and Elizabeth Dubose Hoff, he was retired as Dyer County Chancery Clerk and Master (appointed in 1994 by Judge Steve Stafford) after he had been in the insurance business for 37 years. Mr. Hoff was past president and board member of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Chamber of Commerce. He was the Chamber's Man of the Year in 1992. He was also former president and former chairman of the board of the Dyersburg/Dyer County Union Mission, past president and board member of the Dyersburg Rotary Club and a Paul Harris Fellow, past president of the Dyer County Fair Association and served as a Dyersburg alderman for 12 years. He was voted Outstanding Young Man of at the Year in 1969. John had many beloved friends. Services for Mr. Hoff will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday, July 22, 2015 at First Presbyterian Church conducted by Reverend Wally Bumpas. Visitation will begin at 12 noon until service time at the church. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Martha Jane Parker Hoff; his daughters, Betsy Hoff Shelton, Kitty Reaves Harris, Jennifer Hoff Reavis; and his son Robert Reaves; his brother, Einar B. (Benny) Hoff and wife Dody, and his brother-in-law Jack Todd and wife Mary. Grandchildren are Lauren Vandermolen, Robert Harris, Martha Jane Harris and Kade Reavis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Hoff Todd. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 40 years, Allen Killough; three daughters, Pamela Carol Davis (Michael) of Dyersburg, Amy Elizabeth Wooley (Mark) of Henderson, Erin Alison Hollingsworth (Scott) of Dyersburg; one son, Philip Michael Hutcheson (Misty) of Newbern; one sister, Martha Carol Riggs (Bo) of Newbern; one brother, Edward Allen Vernon, II of Bonicord; 8 grandchildren, Katelyn Rebecca Wooley, Alyson Brooke Hollingsworth, Gregory Eli Wooley, Chancellor Philip Hutcheson, Madison Claire Holllingsworth, Christian Brooks Hutcheson, Slade Colin Davis and Ansley Kate Hollingsworth. Nancy R. Godsey, 79, of Dyersburg, died Friday, June 12, 2015 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was born December 18, 1935 to the late Harold and Geraldine Reaves. She was a lifetime member of First United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Salvation Army. She taught piano and voice lessons, worked at the Department of Human Services and was the former owner of Frames, Etc. Funeral services for Mrs. Godsey will be at 11 a.m. Monday, June 15, 2015 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Zac Berry, Nic Berry, Steve Criswell, Buddy Criswell, Johnny Hulgan, John David Caldwell and Johnny Reaves. She is survived by her daughter, Millette Godsey Gathright and her husband Ron, of Dyersburg; her sister, Janice R. Lou Anne Hansford, age 58, of San Jose, CA, formerly of Halls, TN, died Thursday, June 11, 2015, at her home in San Jose. Lou Anne was born April 28, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Marvin and Jean (Hurt) Hansford. She was a sales associate with H.D. Supply in California, a graduate of the Halls High School Class of 1975, a former member of the Dyersburg Choral Society, an avid reader, an animal lover, and loved horseback riding. She is survived by two sisters, Judy H. Newby of Halls, TN, Hurt (Matt) Hamilton of Dyersburg, TN; two brothers, Jimmy (Kay) Hansford of Halls, TN, and Guy (Kathy) Hansford of Dyersburg, TN; one niece, Ali Hansford; four nephews, Ashley Hansford, Addison (Lesley) Hansford, Connor Hansford, Cole Hamilton; a great-nephew, Keller James Hansford; and a longtime friend, Charles Chuck' Gullo of San Jose, CA. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Fred Hansford. The funeral will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, June 20, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Halls with Rev. Billy Elder and Bro. Brian Isbell officiating with burial following in Halls Cemetery.
