Ms. Pauline Beaird, age 88, of Halls died Saturday, June 27, 2015 at her home in Halls,TN. Ms. Pauline was born December 20, 1926 in Obion Co., TN. She is the daughter of the late Lish and the late Rosie (Rush) Johnson. She was the wife of the late Vance Richard Beaird. Ms. Pauline had many occupations during her life, as she was a tenacious worker. Many titles could be used to describe her, but most notably, a farmer's wife and homemaker. She is survived by one son: Rickey Beaird of Halls, TN; Sister of four sisters: Frances Miller of Gates, TN, June Hutcherson of Halls, TN, Ruth Bivens of Dyersburg, TN, Linda Cummings of Trenton, TN and two brothers: Clayborn Johnson of Ripley, TN, Larry Johnson of Maury City, TN; She has two grandchildren; Julie Stafford, David Beaird and three great-grandchildren; Celia Stafford, Curt Stafford and Lauren Beaird. Dennis Peckenpaugh, 67, of Finley, TN, died Thursday, June 18, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 21, 1947 to the late Egbert "Son" and LouElla "Sis" Peckenpaugh. He was a member of the Finley Baptist Church where he served as Sunday School director, song leader, and was on several church committees; a past Scoutmaster and an Eagle Scout; and, a member and President of the Lions Club. Dennis was a volunteer with the Finley Fire Department. He was a Dyer County Constable where he served as a Reserve Deputy at various times and a Navy veteran. He served president, secretary and treasurer of the Tennessee Constable Association. Dennis was selected as West Tennessee Constable of the Year in 2002. Funeral services for Mr. Peckenpaugh will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 20, 2015, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Charlie Halliburton and Brother Eddie Wilbanks. Laurice Pearson Hearn, 90, of Knoxville, formerly of Tiptonville, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015 at Heritage Assisted Living Center in Knoxville.

She was a retired bookkeeper for People's Grocery in Tiptonville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tiptonville, where she served as church secretary, was a member of the choir, helped with the Brotherhood Fellowship, was a Sunday School Teacher, served as the youth choir director and had perfect attendance at Sunday School for 35 years. Laurice was a member of Tiptonville Women's Club, member of the PTA, the Band Boosters and taught Sunday School at the local nursing home. She was on the board of the Reelfoot Arts and Crafts Association and was active in all community activities.
