Born July 17, 1946 to Stephen Harrison and Flonnie May Crabtree Baker, he was a retired farmer and member of Cottonwood Baptist Church in Ridgely. Funeral services for Mr. Baker will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Cottonwood Baptist Church with Reverend Paul Adams officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery. He was an avid Titans fan and would not miss any of their games if possible. His love for the outdoors helped him design and maintain the most beautiful of yard. He was known as a super softball player who played in many of the games at local ball fields. His greatest love was being a husband, father and grandfather. His two grandsons Jacob and Jase were the apples of his eye. Charles Taylor Corum, 91, of Dyersburg, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Raised by his maternal aunt, Lula Welborn and his grandfather, Harris Taylor, Charles worked for many years at the downtown Western Auto Store. After retirement, he worked at his tire and battery store on Finley Street as well as delivering for Super D until age 85. He has always done bicycle repair and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday morning secretary for almost 50 years, not missing one Sunday for most of those years.

Born on November 19, 1931 in Dyer County, he was the son of the late Jim and Ona Pate Hallum. He was a retired Minister, after serving for 40 years. Richard was a member, Deacon and interim pastor at Holy Hills Baptist Church. He was the founder of Calvary Independent Baptist Church. Mr. Hallum was a Korean War Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving from 1949-1955. He was an avid baseball fan (Cardinals) and an avid outdoorsman (fishing and hunting). Most of all he loved the Lord, his church family, friends and his country.

Mary Lucille (Sally) Kirby of Halls, Tennessee passed away June 25, 2014 at age 87 one day before her 88th birthday. She was born in Newbern, Tennessee on June 26, 1926 to Miller and Berta Johns. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband R. H. Kirby, Jr. and her sister Ruth Wyrick. Survivors include nephew Wayne (Sarah) Wyrick, Paul (Cary) Wyrick, Cass and Kate Wyrick, and lifelong friend J. N. Wyrick. Mrs. KIrby was a homemaker and worked for Tupperware of Halls for a number of years. She attended First Baptist Church of Halls. Since September of 2011, she has been cared for by the kind and caring Staff at Highlands of Dyersburg and in her last days her care was administered by the staff at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center and Caris of Tennessee Hospice. Ryan Lee McGuire, 40, of Dyersburg, passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2014 at his residence.
He was a factory worker at Colonial Rubber and a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Ryan was a member of the NRA, an avid hunter and dog trainer.

James E. "Jimmy" Eudaley, Sr., 71, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at this residence. Born December 21, 1942 to Joe Edward and Joella Williamson Eudaley, he was retired from Cableone after 37 years of employment. He was a member of Fowlkes United Methodist Church. Funeral services for Mr. Eudaley will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 24, 2014 Graveside at Fairview Cemetery conducted by Reverend Craig Tate and Reverend John Lowrance. Pallbearers will be Scott Davis, John Boatright, Jimmy Williamson, Larry Williamson, Mark Strawn, Tony Strawn and Phillip Masengill. Honorary pallbearer will be Cecil "Buddy" Viar. The Eudaley family will receive friends Tuesday, June 24th from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda Eudaley of Dyersburg, 2 sons, James E. Eudaley, Jr. of Gainesboro, TN, Patrick Eudaley of Dyersburg, 4 grandchildren Holly Seay, Derek Eudaley, Keith Eudaley and Joseph Mays.
