Deborah Lee Hayes Hendrix, 71, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, February 15, 2025, at her residence. Born July 8, 1953, in Winston-Salem, NC, she is the daughter of the late James B. Hayes, Jr. and Margaret Thompson Hayes. Deborah is a graduate of RJ Reynolds High School and was active in many choral groups and the Girl Scouts where she achieved Gold Award Status by earning its highest award of First Class. She was an active member of Dyersburg First Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she sang in the Chancel Choir and was a member of the Day Star Circle. Deborah attended the University of Tennessee at Martin and Knoxville, studying Interior Design and Graphic Design. Deborah will always be remembered for her ability to create beautiful things out of even the most common or scarce materials.

While in Knoxville, she met and later married her husband of 48 years, Robert M. Hendrix, Jr. She is survived by Robert; three daughters, Sarah Hendrix Strength (Casey), Kathryn Hendrix Benjamin (Jason), both of Murfreesboro; Emily Margaret Hendrix of Halls; four grandchildren; Elenore Lee Benjamin, Hendrix Lane Benjamin, Jack Buchanan Strength, Alice Elizabeth Strength; her sister, Elayne Hayes Pisarik (Karl), her nephew, Cole Edward Pisarik; and her niece, Margaret Faith Pisarik, all of Sanford, FL.

So they decided to go to school and get a better job than digging ditches. Later in life, Jim worked in construction putting roofs on houses when he was waiting to find out if he passed the bar exam.

Mackie is survived by his sons Corey Gene Enochs (Ashley) and Jared Wade Enochs (Jen) and daughter Jessica Anne Smith (Daniel), his sisters Vicky White, Tammy Berry and Joy Kay Smith and his long-time best friend, Mike Reedy. He was loved greatly as "Grandpaw" by his nine grandchildren, Gracie Enochs, Riley Enochs, Haveen Orman, Kamrie Smith, Carlee Boldon, Brody Smith, Cassie Boldon, Emma Boldon and Avery Smith. Mr. Cleland Taylor Moore, of Dyersburg, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. Cleland was born September 20, 1941 in Dyersburg to the late Vernon & Margaret Moore. He was a graduate of Dyersburg High School, then joined the United States Air Force. He earned the rank of Master Sergeant, proudly serving over a 21 year career as a Food Service Supervisor. He served in locations including Missouri, Puerto Rico, Kansas, Oklahoma, Germany and New Mexico. After returning in retirement, he worked for 16 years at Colonial Rubber Works. He is lovingly remembered by his friends and co-workers as "Bud" or "Sarge". In his post-service years, he enjoyed time with friends at the Dyersburg Moose Lodge and local bowling leagues. He was an accomplished woodworker, loved old cars and western movies. He spent time in his front yard swing and loved to cook for family, especially Saturday morning breakfasts.

Cleland is survived by his children, Michael Wayne Moore (Leslie), Karen Renee Harwell (John), Amanda Moore Montgomery (Grant) and David S. Moore (Autumn) and his sisters, Gaithel Moore Hendren (Bubba) and Deborah Joyce Davison (Travis). He was greatly loved as "Papa" by his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Garrett, Austin and Ethan Moore, Taylor Harwell, Anna Cathey (Garrett), Andrea Cox (Mitch), Aaron Montgomery (Sam), Connor Montgomery (Makayla), Lexy Moore and Chase Burns as well as his great-grandchildren, Lera Cathey, Miles & Carter Cox, Paislee, Jake & Scarlett Montgomery and Asher & Avaleigh Montgomery. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon & Margaret Taylor Moore, his wife Jenny Lou Tibbs Moore and a brother, Lenville "Buddy" Moore.

She enjoyed music and traveling, every opportunity she got, and loved spending time and cooking for her family and friends. Gladys was a longtime member of Junction Church of God.

Mrs. Reynolds is a loved member of Cottonwood Baptist Church since joining as a child. She loved her community and enjoyed serving it as the owner of Dorthy’s Famous Foods in Ridgely for over 40 years. She loved to receive calls and visits from church members, the pastor, and her many friends, and family. Dorthy never met a stranger, letting her gift for talking and her personality befriend anyone that crossed her path.

Her faith in God was significant in her life and she worshipped at McCullough Chapel Baptist Church for most of her life. In her free time, she loved gardening and watching her hummingbirds.

Ruth is survived by her son, Tim Bivens and wife, Laura, as well as a brother, Larry Johnson and sisters Frances Miller and June Hutcherson. and was loved as "MawMaw" by her grandson, Andy Bivens and wife, Amanda and their son, Sam. She is preceded in death by her husband, Olin "Pete" Bivens, her parents, her son, Billy Wayne Bivens and his wife, Emily Bivens, her brothers Bud Johnson, Cleburn Johnson and sisters Lillian Howard, VernaMay McCarthy, Imogene Sawyers, Lovelle Hicks, Pauline Beaird, Linda Cummings and Shelby Tillman.
