Arthur "Bubba" Lee, 75, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, October 10, 2024, at this residence. Born January 29, 1949, he is the son of late J.C. and Susie Lee. Mr. Lee proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He retired as a heavy equipment mechanic.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Iris Lee; two sons J. Lee (Jennifer), Paul Lee, both of Dyersburg; two sisters, Mary Alice Briggs of Oregon, Celia Holland of Benton, KY; two brothers, James Lee of Dyersburg, Huey Calvain of Indianapolis, IN; and three grandchildren, Jonathan Lee, Joseph Lee and Annah Lee.

Mrs. Betty Prince-Hopper, age 65, of Hornbeak, TN, won her battle with cancer and went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at her home, surrounded by family and friends. Betty was born August 17, 1959 in Ridgely, TN, to the late Cas Newton Joyce and Maggie Joyce Dycus. She worked as a buyer and planner for various companies based in West Tennessee. As she is remembered for saying "Let me break it down for you!" Betty was a very straightforward person, but if you truly knew her, you knew that she had the biggest heart. She never hesitated to help anyone in need and made everyone feel welcome. She loved her family and friends fiercely. Her sons and her grand-babies were her pride and joy. Betty loved God, all animals, food & cooking, music, travelling and all things Betty Boop.

Betty is survived by her husband, Tommy Hopper, Sr. of Hornbeak, TN, her children, Jarrod (Nikki) Prince of Newbern, TN, Gerald (Crystal) Prince of Ridgely, TN, Natalie (Jeremy) Seals of Hornbeak, Amanda Hopper of Hendersonville, TN, Tommy (Jennifer) Hopper, Jr. of Hornbeak, her sisters, Bonnie (Tom) Stoneburner of Ridgley, TN, and Barbara (Lilburn) Henson of Ridgely, TN, and her brother, Finis (Bobbie) Joyce, Sr. of Lake Cormorant, MS. She was loved as "MiMi" by her grandchildren, Adryana Mar, Braydon Prince, Lily Prince, Ava Prince, Layla Prince, Jackson Seals, Katie Bratton, Paul Hayden Seals, Wes Mooring, Livee Seals, Nathan Scott, Kiley Hopper and Ty Hopper; and her great-grandchildren, Baylor Seals & Hendon Bratton. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Bobby "Bub" Hodoe, James "Shorty" Joyce, Ernest "Junior" Joyce, Billy "Red" Joyce; her grandson, Davdon Prince; and her beloved Schnauzer, Hammer.

Reba will be remembered as a charming, kind, and inspirational lady admired for her southern etiquette and dedication as a Dental Hygienist with Dr. John Talley and Dr. Stan Young for many years. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, an excellent cook, good listener and loved the beach. Reba was always present at her children and grandchildrens activities. She was a graduate of University of Tennessee Dental School and an avid UT Vols sports fan. She attended First Baptist Church.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, December 27th from 10:00 a.m. until 12 Noon at the funeral home.

She worked as a department manager and was also on the bowling team at Dyersburg Fabrics. After "The Mill" shut down, Debbie went on to become the manager at the Dollar General Store on East Court Street and then manager at the Shoe Department. Debbie was full of life and enjoyed everything about it. She was active in all of her families' lives. Debbie was the glue that held her family together and will be terribly missed by all of them.

Albert Rankin Fowlkes, 93, of Dyersburg, died peacefully Monday, September 23, 2024. Albert was born in Tiptonville, Tennessee on October 14, 1930, to Doc and Eveleen Fowlkes. His mother died when he was two years old and he and his older brother, Doc Jr., were raised by loving aunts and uncles and his beloved, Dada.He graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1948 and co-oped at the Cotton Mill (Dyersburg Fabrics) during his college years at Murray State and Georgia Tech, while earning a degree in textile engineering. After serving in the Navy during the Korean war, he returned to Dyersburg where he married Kay Keller in 1961. They raised 3 children and were married for 63 years.He spent his 47-year career at Dyersburg Fabrics and eventually became the VP of Operations. He thoroughly enjoyed his work and especially the people with whom he worked.all 1200 of them.A life-long member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church, he served as an elder, choir member, Sunday school teacher and, for years, a volunteer on the annual youth choir trip. A faithful Gideon for 50 years, you could find him many Saturday mornings at the Holiday Inn praying with other Gideons. Delivering bibles to hospitals and schools and sharing Gods Word was one of his greatest joys. At age 50, he helped found and lead the formation of Young Life in Dyersburg. His excitement for the Gospel was contagious and countless teenagers were impacted by this ministry.He was a remarkable man of faith and his love for Jesus was felt by everyone he encountered. An active member of Kiwanis Club, where this year, the annual Pancake Day was named in his honor. He was a school board member, Little League baseball coach, community theater actor, Scout Master, Key Club sponsor, Salvation Army volunteer, Red Coat volunteer, Union Mission Board member, Chamber of Commerce "Man of the Year" in 1995, founding member of the Dyersburg YMCA, and inducted into the inaugural Dyersburg High School Hall of Fame. He was always mindful of the debt he owed to his community, who helped form him into the man he became.Alberts life of service was in response to his salvation in Jesus Christ and the joy of knowing Him. His passing will leave a tremendous void in the hearts of his family and friends and the community in which he loved and served.He is survived by his devoted wife of 63 years, Kay Keller Fowlkes, of Dyersburg; daughter, Mary Latta Fowlkes Brown (Bob) of Brentwood, TN; son, Rankin Fowlkes (Elizabeth) of Memphis, TN; daughter, Anne Fowlkes Walker (Scott) of Memphis, TN; nine grandchildren, whose greatest inheritance will be their Papas faith, Robert Brown (Carolyne), Mary Eveleen Brown, Anne Florence Brown, Will Walker (Allison), Margaret Walker Collins (Ben), Sally Walker, Sam Fowlkes, Tom Fowlkes, Katherine Keller; great-granddaughter, Ruthie Brown; and brother-in-law, Dayton Keller (Patricia).Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2024, in the sanctuary of Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He loved the Lord and his family. He was a sportsman throughout his life; however, in retirement he enjoyed daily golf games and weekly bowling. His warm smile, wit, and sense of humor drew people to him. His biggest pride was his family. Tommy was married for 51 years to his sweetheart, Debbie Bevill Sims whom he lovingly called "Rose." Tommy loved his son and daughter with all his heart. He taught them the importance of faith, dedication to others, work ethic, sense of humor and how to be an amazing parent.

Betty was born on April 24, 1944, to the late James Edgar (Chig) & Virginia (Sis) Holt. Betty was a long-time member and organist for Spring Hill Baptist Church and enjoyed Gospel music. Over the years, she worked in the pharmacy of Parkview Hospital, the Dyer County Election Commission, operated Tickle's Grocery alongside her husband Dan, and more recently as the secretary of Three Oaks Middle School. Betty truly loved spending time with her family, traveling to see her daughters and grandchildren, listening to music, keeping up with the St. Louis Cardinals, and fishing with her husband. Betty is survived by her daughters, Lisa Maas & husband, Steve, of Cookeville, Ginny McCormack of Maryville and Nickie Jowers & husband, Kenny, of Newbern, her sisters Jane Carolyn Heathcott & Sandra Hankins, her grandchildren, Erik Maas, Jenna Tindle, Rylee McCormack, Chase Fulcher & Kirsten Jowers and one great-grandson, Daniel Perry Tindle. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 52 years, Dan Tickle. Visitation will be held Monday, September 2, 2024, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Dyersburg Funeral Home. She truly loved people and never met a stranger, caring for everyone that crossed her path. In her spare time, she enjoyed crafting and sewing.

He also leaves one sister, Polly Harper (Tommy), also of Bonicord and precious nieces and nephews that he called his own. He was a member and elder of Miller's Chapel church of Christ for many years before joining West Dyersburg church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John Mack Bell, and one sister, Betty Jane Carpenter.
