Mrs. Shirley Jane Wilson, age 89, of Dyersburg, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Jackson General Hospital. She was born June 9, 1934 in Coulterville, IL to the late Doug & Ruth Gallagher. She will be remembered for her sweet and outgoing personality, in her early years working as a telephone operator and bank teller and later through the groups of friends she made playing bridge, showing horses with her husband and more recently, by her morning group of regulars at McDonalds. In her free time, she was an avid reader, crafter and St. Louis Cardinal fan. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg.

Shirley is survived by her beloved husband & companion of 70 years, Dave Wilson, her daughter, Kelly Cochrane & husband, Brian, her two grandsons, Wilson & Riley Cochrane, her brother, Danny Gallagher and sisters, Betty Luthy and Jean Horner. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Lucille was preceded in death her daughter, Ruth Ellen Jackson, two sisters Francis Janes, Rebecca Freeman and a brother, Wymond Jones and a granddaughter Tamare Prince.

Daniel Lee Vaden,45, of Gates, TN passed away peacefully at his home and entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, after battling Glioblastoma cancer for 14 courageous months. Daniel was born February 8, 1979, in Dyersburg, TN. He is the son of William and Pat (Steelman) Vaden. He was married to his wife of ten years, Amanda Vaden, and they have three children: Cameron Luckett, Mackenzie Vaden, and Sophie Leigh Vaden. Preceding Daniel in death was his maternal grandparents, Syl and Dorothy Steelman, and his paternal grandparents, Hollis Sr., and Mary Lee Vaden. He was also preceded in death by a cousin, Jerry Vaden, that was like his brother. Daniel was a farmer and loved everything associated with farming. He was the happiest when driving a tractor or combine. Once he was diagnosed with cancer, he never complained and still farmed everyday until he could physically do no more. He was the hardest worker and my hero. Daniel would give you the shirt off his back and had a laugh that was so contagious. He had an unconditional love for his family and would never hesitate to go out of his way for others. His smile would light up the room. Daniel was a Christian and attended Archer's Chapel Church. Visitation will be at Archer's Chapel Church in Frog Jump, TN on April 11, 2024, from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm. Funeral service will be held at Archer's Chapel on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Concord Cemetery. Additional visitation will also be held from 12 pm - 1pm prior to the funeral service. Pastor Franco Martinez will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Clay Maclin, Jason Turnbow, Marc Cunningham, Gary Wayne Steelman, Steve Floyd, and Heath Ellis. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Ryan Ward and Allen Lewis. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War and served his local community as a member of the Dyersburg Kiwanis Club. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and later in life, loved to deer hunt with family.

He is survived by his wife, of 73 years, Mary Roberts, his son, Robert Dan Roberts & wife, Paula, his daughters, Teresa Ann Roberts & Sandra Jean Bizzle & husband, James, his grandchildren, Robert Lynn Roberts, Jamie Lee Bizzle, Tasha Marie LeCornu, Selena Marie Richardson, his great-grandchildren, Emmett & Brindee Roberts, Tessa Ellis, Audrey, Alexia & Ryan Bizzle, Heath & Riley Richardson, Kloe Lynn Fortner, Courtney Bell and Tatiana Collins and his great-great-grandson, Owen Ellis. Mrs. Shirley Ann "Molly" Pollock, of Tiptonville, passed away Friday, March 15, 2024 at West Tennessee Healthcare-Dyersburg Hospital. She was born in Linden, TN to the late Grover & Gertha Beasley on April 17, 1938. She worked for many years in the laboratories of the AT&T Co. She was also a devoted homemaker, enjoying working in her yard and garden, canning and sharing whatever she grew. She truly enjoyed and loved the simplest things in life.

She is survived by her husband, Freddie Edward Pollock, her son, Ed Pollock & wife, Lisa, her brother James Ray Beasley & wife, Jean, sister-in-law, Debbie Beasley, sister, Martha Gladys Beasley. She was truly loved as "Mammy or Maw" by her four grandchildren, Amanda & Rudü Doorco, Jeremy & Miranda Pollock, Michael & Colletta Pollock and Matt & Valentina Pollock as well as her ten great-grandchildren, Mason, Maddox, Kevin, Regan, Marley, Kahlia, Kirie, Ina, Selah and Mona. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grover Cleveland Beasley and Gertha Polan Beasley, her brothers, Ralph, Atlas and William Beasley and her sisters, Clara Belle Hopkins, Mary Ellen Capps and Joyce Meza.

Mrs Rhonda Foster Whitt, of Pleasantview, TN, formerly of Dyersburg, passed away Friday March 15, 2024 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. She was born October 5, 1963 to the late Kenneth & Shirley Foster. Rhonda was a student, throughout her life, always looking to learn how to help others through education. She worked as a GED instructor for the Tennessee Department of Corrections as well as the TBI. She truly loved to help people pave their way, transitioning from incarceration to civilian work. She also was a devoted care-giver, always providing and caring for her family members.

She is survived by her husband, of 42 years, Joey Lynn Whitt, her daughter, Jessica Ann Hudson & husband, Daniel Marquest Brown, Sr. and a brother, Joseph Kyle Foster. She loved her time as "Rho-Rho" to her grandchildren, Ava Ry'Ann Harris, Ahsha Raylynn Harris, Daniel Marquest (DJ) Brown, Jr. and Michael Whitt Brown. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Kenneth (Kenny) Foster.

Jerry Cecil Richards, 86, passed away Thursday March 14, 2024, in Jackson, TN surrounded by family. Jerry spent the last few years taking care of his wife of nearly 65 years, as she succumbed to the effects of Dementia, all while dealing with the effects of his own heart issues.

Jerry was born in Dyersburg, TN on January 25, 1938, to his parents, Leroy and Louise Richards. He married his high school sweetheart, Ila Ruth (Cook) Richards of Dyersburg, TN, and would have celebrated their 65th anniversary a few weeks before her passing in 2023. Jerry served two years in the National Guard while in High School, and after graduating from Dyersburg High School, he served four years in the United States Air Force, specializing in Communications and was stationed in Kansas and Alaska. After his Honorable Discharge from the service, he pursued a career in Communications and Engineering with South Central Bell and eventually retired from BellSouth Telecommunications. He had a very successful post-retirement career as a Real Estate Agent, and founded Richards Footwear in Jackson, TN. Jerry served many years as a Deacon at First Baptist Church in Jackson, TN. He was also very involved in politics and served as an Alderman for the City of Dyersburg, TN. Jerry particularly loved playing golf and baseball and assisted teams for several years at Union University. He was an avid reader and wrote several books. He loved to travel and spend time with his family. He always put his family first to ensure they were provided for.

Elaine also leaves behind ten grandchildren and twenty-three great- grandchildren. She loved her family and friends passionately and enjoyed organizing family reunions and playing card games with her lifelong friends that we called the Golden Girls. Bonnie was also a dedicated employee of Bradshaw and Company Insurors for 50 years.

Bonnie was a devoted wife of 52 years to James Clyde Perry, Jr. who preceded her in death in 2000.

Kenneth was a member and Elder of Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was retired from First Citizens National Bank where he served as Senior Vice President, focusing on financial services in the Trust Department and as a broker at Financial Plus. He was a graduate of Mississippi State University and a member of Kiwanis International. He was an avid fan of Mississippi State football and the St. Louis Cardinals. Kens favorite pastimes were playing golf, listening to music, and spending precious time with his family.
