Timothy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a christian man, who deeply loved his family.

Edie Harris Ford, 90, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, July 18, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. Edie was born May 30, 1931 at her grandparents home in Newbern, TN to A.G. Harris, Jr. and M. Porter Harris. She was an active member of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1952 where she served in numerous ways including as President of the Lydia Circle and as a Deacon and Elder. Edie grew up in Lake County where she was crowned Miss Tiptonville and Miss Ridgely. She graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1949 and attended Harriet Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and a cheerleader for Tulane University. She was the first National Soybean Festival Queen in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart Jere B. Ford in 1951. She dedicated herself to being a wife and mother. She served as President of the Cotillion Club, Cub Scout Leader, Girl Scout Leader, Four Seasons Garden Club Member, McDowell Music Club, National LOGOS Board of Directors and was a member of her beloved Sewing Circle. Her hobbies included needlework, bridge, and dancing. Her gift was helping people including her visitation ministry.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiated by Reverend Dr. Cory D. Williams and Reverend Annetta Camp with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

He served in the United States Air Force as a flight mechanic during the Viet Nam war. He worked for the Dresser Company in Louisiana before returning to Dyersburg and working for Bekaert Inc. as a maintenance mechanic. He was an accomplished woodworker and loved sharing his projects with family and friends. He also was an avid pool player and loved sports.

He is survived by his son and daughter, Samuel Lewis Bush & Michelle Lee Bush, his former wife & devoted friend, Rachel Bush, all of Dyersburg, as well as several beloved cousins.

JD was born on February 14, 1951 in Fayetteville, TN to the late Cletus and Frances Brannon Smith. He was an avid Harley Davidson enthusiast. He loved fishing and old cars. He was a proud southern Baptist. JD proudly served our country with the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.

She is survived by her daughter, Candy Fincher of Dyersburg; her son, Travis Reeves of Dyersburg; one step-daughter, Christina Schenck (Rusty) of Winfield; one step-son, Tommie Fincher, Jr. of McKenzie; one step-granddaughter, Briana White of Winfield; five sisters, Mary Moore, Bonnie Haynes, both of Dyersburg, Sandy Reeves of Newbern, Patricia Sanders, Tina Anderson, both of Fulton, KY; and one brother, Sonny Reeves of Dyersburg.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville where he served as the men's Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the American Legion and proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force and National Guard for 30 years. He was a retired educator for Lake County Schools where he taught for 45 years.

She worked for many years with her husband at their business, Eaves Auto Center of Blythevilleand was retired from Pollard-Geeslin Insurance Agency. Doris was a former member of First Baptist Church of Blytheville and later First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village. She enjoyed church work, being with friends and the out of doors. She dearly loved her family - children,grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Eaves;brothers, William F. Harrell, Lawrence (George) Harrell and Walter (Peck) Harrell. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Mark) Metzger of Paducah, KY and Sharon (Larry) Spurlock of Armorel, AR; one sister, Frances Cooper of Cooter, MO; grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey) Sigmin of Paducah, KY, Brandon (Kim) Sigmin of Benton, AR and Lance (Angela) Spurlock of Armorel, AR; great-grandchildren, Emma Haskins, Paul Ryan, Caden Clayton, Olivia Sigmin, Emma Sigmin and Wyatt Sigmin; and several nieces and nephews.

Wallace Milam, 82, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his residence. He was born February 21, 1939, in Clarksburg, Tennessee, to the late Eldon and Annie S. Wiles Milam. Mr. Milam was a beloved history teacher at Dyersburg High School until his retirement in 1997; however, he continued adjunct work through 2003. He was hired in 1964 as the head football coach at Dyersburg Junior High School, then moved to DHS in 1965 as assistant football coach under Coach Jere Stribling. In his later years, he did the football statistics under Coach James Counce. During his high school tenure, he, Lloyd Ramer, and Nawasa Jonas worked together to transform the DHS history department into “History Land” to engage students. Mr. Milam was a John F. Kennedy assassination expert and lecturer. He spent much of his life traveling to Dallas, Texas, conducting interviews of people who were involved and researching exactly what happened that fateful day. He also spent time in Washington, D.C., researching in the National Archives. He served on the Senate Select Committee of the assassinations of both JFK and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and testified at the senate hearings. He was also an avid tennis player and former instructor.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
