He was a retired employee for Goodyear Rubber & Tire and was a graduate of Lake County High School Class of 1979. Timothy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and in the Tennessee National Guard. He was a christian man, who deeply loved his family.

Edie Harris Ford, 90, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, July 18, 2021 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. Edie was born May 30, 1931 at her grandparents home in Newbern, TN to A.G. Harris, Jr. and M. Porter Harris. She was an active member of the Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church since 1952 where she served in numerous ways including as President of the Lydia Circle and as a Deacon and Elder. Edie grew up in Lake County where she was crowned Miss Tiptonville and Miss Ridgely. She graduated from Dyersburg High School in 1949 and attended Harriet Sophie Newcomb College of Tulane University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi Sorority and a cheerleader for Tulane University. She was the first National Soybean Festival Queen in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart Jere B. Ford in 1951. She dedicated herself to being a wife and mother. She served as President of the Cotillion Club, Cub Scout Leader, Girl Scout Leader, Four Seasons Garden Club Member, McDowell Music Club, National LOGOS Board of Directors and was a member of her beloved Sewing Circle. Her hobbies included needlework, bridge, and dancing. Her gift was helping people including her visitation ministry.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Cumberland Presbyterian Church officiated by Reverend Dr. Cory D. Williams and Reverend Annetta Camp with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

He served in the United States Air Force as a flight mechanic during the Viet Nam war. He worked for the Dresser Company in Louisiana before returning to Dyersburg and working for Bekaert Inc. as a maintenance mechanic. He was an accomplished woodworker and loved sharing his projects with family and friends. He also was an avid pool player and loved sports.

He is survived by his son and daughter, Samuel Lewis Bush & Michelle Lee Bush, his former wife & devoted friend, Rachel Bush, all of Dyersburg, as well as several beloved cousins.

Charles "Bubba" Chadwick, age 76 of Tiptonville, TN passed away Wednesday June 16, 2021 at Baptist Hospital in Memphis.

Charles was born on October 3, 1944 in Ridgely, TN to the late Joe & Mary Alice Lyons Chadwick. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville where he served as the men's Sunday School teacher. He was a member of the American Legion and proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force and National Guard for 30 years. He was a retired educator for Lake County Schools where he taught for 45 years.

Mr. James "Jim" Buckner, age 82, of Ripley passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at home in Ripley. James was born April 26, 1939 in Lauderdale County, TN. He is the son of the late James Carl and the late Millie Elena Buckner. He is survived by three daughters: Julie (Scotty) Hinton of Halls, TN, Angela Wright of CO. and Natosha Downing of Dyersburg, TN, and four sons: Clark (Marilyn) Buckner of Halls, TN, Bart Buckner of Ripley, TN, Randy Buckner of Halls, TN and Tim Buckner of TX, Brother of three sisters: Sue Cates of Ripley, TN, Carol Hayes of Covington, TN and Ann Pafford of Camden, TN and five brothers: Henry Buckner of Halls, TN, Alvin Buckner of AR, Mark Buckner of Ripley, TN, Gene Buckner and Floyd Buckner both of OH. Mr. James also leaves eighteen Grandchildren and sixteen Great-Grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, June 19 at Gates Cemetery, Gates, TN with Bro. She is the daughter of the late Malcom and Beatrice Lizzie Turnbow. She is survived by her husband: John Henry Buckner, one daughter: Michelle Renee Hinsley of Halls, TN and one son: Bobby Joe Buckner of Halls, TN; Sister of three sisters: Jill Garrett of Gates, TN, Lorelei Bushart of Gates, TN and Rose Mary Colvin of Halls, TN. She also leaves one granddaughter, Nicole Renee Hinsley and one great- grandson Conner Drake Ibbotson. Judy leaves a daughter Valerie Crawford of Tiptonville and a son Adam Crawford (Rebecca) of Dyersburg; two grandchildren Aidan and Mason Crawford of Mountain View, ID; a sister Janet Reasons (Bryan) of Milan; nephew Cameron Reasons (Kayla) of Medina; and great-nieces Brooklynn and Bridget Reasons of Medina.

Krystle loved music, the 70's, 80's and 90's were her favorite, but particularly loved listening to Cher. She loved all types of animals.

Doris June Eaves

Doris June Eaves, 88, born in Tyler, Missouri to E.H. and Mamie Harrell, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021. She was a former long time resident of Blytheville and Cherokee Village. She worked for many years with her husband at their business, Eaves Auto Center of Blythevilleand was retired from Pollard-Geeslin Insurance Agency. Doris was a former member of First Baptist Church of Blytheville and later First Baptist Church of Cherokee Village. She enjoyed church work, being with friends and the out of doors. She dearly loved her family - children,grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Eaves;brothers, William F. Harrell, Lawrence (George) Harrell and Walter (Peck) Harrell. She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Mark) Metzger of Paducah, KY and Sharon (Larry) Spurlock of Armorel, AR; one sister, Frances Cooper of Cooter, MO; grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey) Sigmin of Paducah, KY, Brandon (Kim) Sigmin of Benton, AR and Lance (Angela) Spurlock of Armorel, AR; great-grandchildren, Emma Haskins, Paul Ryan, Caden Clayton, Olivia Sigmin, Emma Sigmin and Wyatt Sigmin; and several nieces and nephews.

Wallace Milam

February 21, 1939 – June 13, 2021

Wallace Milam, 82, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, June 13, 2021, at his residence. He was born February 21, 1939, in Clarksburg, Tennessee, to the late Eldon and Annie S. Wiles Milam. Mr. Milam was a beloved history teacher at Dyersburg High School until his retirement in 1997; however, he continued adjunct work through 2003. He was hired in 1964 as the head football coach at Dyersburg Junior High School, then moved to DHS in 1965 as assistant football coach under Coach Jere Stribling. In his later years, he did the football statistics under Coach James Counce. During his high school tenure, he, Lloyd Ramer, and Nawasa Jonas worked together to transform the DHS history department into “History Land” to engage students. Mr. Milam was a John F. Kennedy assassination expert and lecturer. He spent much of his life traveling to Dallas, Texas, conducting interviews of people who were involved and researching exactly what happened that fateful day. He also spent time in Washington, D.C., researching in the National Archives. He served on the Senate Select Committee of the assassinations of both JFK and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and testified at the senate hearings. He was also an avid tennis player and former instructor.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 30, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Billy was born on January 31, 1952 in Mooring, TN to the late Cas Newton Joyce and Maggie Neely Manns Joyce. Billy worked as a roofer and tree cutter in and around Lake County. He attended the Ridgely Pentecostal Church and loved trading, collecting and bartering with antiques. Billy loved to fish and hunt for marbles and arrowheads. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War.
