Guy Thomas "Tommy" Ownby, age 77, of Fowlkes, TN passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at West TN. Healthcare of Dyersburg, TN. Tommy was born May 2, 1941 in Dyer Co., TN. to the late John Guy and the late Mamye (McKinney) Ownby. He was a 1959 graduate of Dyersburg High School. After graduation, he was employed by Illinois Central Railroad and retired from there after 41 years. He was a maintenance crew supervisor. Member of Fowlkes United Methodist Church where he served as Trustee, Sunday School Superintendant, and Sunday School Teacher. He was a past member of the Dyer County Civil Air Patrol and served on the board of the Dyersburg Suburban Consolidated Utility District. Survived by 4 children: Jeff (Evette) Ownby of Dyersburg Shane Ownby of Fowlkes Rory (Rebekah) Ownby of Fowlkes Lory (Steven) Crumley of Plymouth,WI. Grandchildren: Jay, Mary Catherine and David Crumley Dakota Ownby, Bobby Wiltshire, Brad Powell, Lindsey Ownby, Lyndon Singleton and Logan Michael Ray Ownby to be born in a few months. Two sisters, Betty Rodgers of Eads,TN and Helen ( Bob) Dunavent of Friendship,TN. Tommy also leaves several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Ownby Adams, and a brother Michael Ownby. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Life Union Mission 213 W. Sidney Lynn Waller, 72, died Sunday, November 25, 2018. His birth took place on Monday, November 18, 1946, to Wilmer C. and Hazel Moore Waller of Dyersburg, Tennessee. He worked throughout his adult life in the construction, transportation and manufacturing industries until health problems forced him to retire. He was the primary caretaker to his parents after his retirement.

He had a great love of children and animals. In 2001 he served as a Bogota School volunteer helping special needs students, and monitoring children in the cafeteria and on the playground. He has a compassion for animals, especially dogs and leaves his dog Brudy, a faithful companion for ten years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aldon Emmett Lowe; her son, Curtis Hinson III; and two brothers, James Emmitt Lowe and James Fred Lowe. In 1995, Dennis married his best friend and wife Juli, and together they raised a wonderful family. Dennis was an adoring husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a fierce friend and family member. She was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church (Forked Deer). She was an active member of the U. M. W., FRIENDS OF THE HALLS PUBLIC LIBRARY, HALLS VETERAN MUSEUM and also an associated member of the Halls First United Methodist Church. Helen was a graduate of Halls High School where she retired as a bookkeeper and secretary after 39 and a half years of service. She will be truly missed by her family, friends, students and faculty.
